We believe a successful project begins with clear expectations and mutual understanding among all parties. When a written contract is appropriate, we view it as an opportunity to define what success looks like for the customer, general contractor, trade partners, and Best Equipment & Welding.

Our goal is to approach the contracting process collaboratively, establishing agreement on the essential business terms before finalizing a contract. To accomplish this, we believe every contract should clearly address the following:

1. Scope of Work: A clear, mutually understood description of the work to be performed, including responsibilities and exclusions. 
2. Project Schedule: An initial schedule that is realistic, achievable, and mutually understood, including key milestones and anticipated completion dates. 
3. Contract Price: A clearly defined and mutually agreed-upon price for the work to be performed. 
4. Payment Terms: Clearly defined and mutually agreeable terms addressing invoicing, progress payments, payment due dates, and final payment. 
5. Changes to Scope or Schedule: A mutually understood process for documenting, approving, and compensating changes to the original scope of work or project schedule. 
6. Lien Waivers: Consistent with established commercial construction practices and applicable law, conditional lien waivers are provided in connection with pending payments, and unconditional lien waivers are provided after the applicable payments have been received by Best Equipment & Welding.

We believe that a clear agreement on payment terms is as fundamental to project success as agreement on the scope of work, schedule, and price. We recognize that contracts may need to address additional project-specific requirements. However, we believe establishing agreement on these fundamental elements at the outset provides a solid foundation for a successful working relationship.

Our objective is simple: a fair, balanced agreement that clearly defines expectations, protects the interests of all parties, and supports successful project execution.
