Retirement

It is with mixed emotions in that we are both happy (for him) and sad (for us) to announce that Carl Higdon has elected to retire. Carl’s last working day with Best Equipment and Welding will be on April 4, 2023.

Carl began his career at Best Equipment and Welding working in the shop as a welder and fabricator. After a short time in the shop, Carl was transferred to the field service operation, where he earned the respect and trust of the company and his customers for excellent workmanship and customer service.

Carl later was promoted to Field Service Supervisor where he managed a team of field service technicians as the company grew its footprint in the dock equipment and custom fabrication business in the greater Indianapolis area.

In his current role as Senior Sales and Service Consultant, Carl has been instrumental in growing the company to be one of the top 10 dealers for dock equipment in providing technical expertise, directly managing customer accounts and material purchases and overall development of the sales and service teams capabilities.
